What This Site Does Not Do
This site has no user account, no contact form, no newsletter and no audience measurement tool. It does not sell or rent any personal data.
Technical Logs
Like any website, the hosting provider records technical connection data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type) to ensure the security and proper functioning of the service. This processing is based on the legitimate interest of the publisher, and the data is kept for the period defined by the host, without exceeding twelve months.
Cookies
Two types of cookies may be stored on your device:
- tde_consent
- Records your choice (accept or refuse) so that the banner is not displayed again. Strictly necessary, set by this site, kept for 6 months.
- Google AdSense
- Advertising cookies set by Google only if you click “Accept”. They are used to display, measure and, where applicable, personalize ads. If you click “Refuse”, the advertising script is not loaded and no advertising cookie is set.
You can change your choice at any time with the “Cookie Settings” link at the bottom of every page. Refusing has no effect on access to the content.
Google AdSense Advertising
Ads are served by Google Ireland Limited, which acts as a separate controller for the data it collects. Google may transfer data to the United States under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
To learn how Google uses data from partner sites, see policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. You can manage ad personalization in your Google account settings at myadcenter.google.com.
Legal Basis
Advertising cookies are based on your consent (article 6.1.a GDPR and article 82 of the French Data Protection Act). Technical logs and the consent cookie are based on the legitimate interest of the publisher and on the strict necessity of the service.
Your Rights
You have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise these rights, write to contact@trickledowneconomics.org.
If you believe that your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
